‘Saa Ñu’ú’ / Birds Clay by Jorge Martínez Valderrama
Some of the sounds from ‘Saa Ñu’ú’ / Birds Clay come from bird-shaped instruments made of clay that have been played for millennia in the Mixtec region. The artist researched Mesoamerican musical instruments from the British Museum’s collection for the inspiration to create his soundscape.
